The Integrated Community Development Initiative is one of the flagship programs of Life Foundation focused on addressing multiple social challenges through holistic and sustainable interventions. The initiative promotes community empowerment by integrating education, healthcare awareness, livelihood support, women empowerment, youth participation, sanitation, and social awareness activities under a unified development framework.

The project emphasizes inclusive participation, awareness generation, capacity-building, leadership development, and sustainable community practices to build stronger, self-reliant, and socially responsible communities.

EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

Women Skill Development & Livelihood Initiative

Women Livelihood & Empowerment Initiative

This project focuses on promoting women empowerment through vocational training, entrepreneurship development, awareness generation, and livelihood enhancement activities. The initiative aims to strengthen confidence, financial independence, leadership, and self-reliance among women from vulnerable and underserved communities.

Life Foundation encourages women to become active participants in social and economic development by creating opportunities for learning, leadership, entrepreneurship, and sustainable income generation.

HEALTH INITIATIVE

Health, Hygiene & Public Awareness Campaign

Community Health & Awareness Project

Life Foundation regularly organizes health awareness programs and community wellbeing initiatives aimed at improving public health knowledge and promoting healthy lifestyles among underserved populations.

The initiative addresses issues related to sanitation, preventive healthcare, nutrition, hygiene, mental health awareness, and public health education while encouraging active community participation in healthcare awareness and wellbeing activities.

Empowering Persons with Disabilities

Disability Inclusion & Accessibility Project

This initiative is dedicated to supporting persons with disabilities through inclusion-focused programs, awareness generation, rehabilitation support, accessibility advocacy, and empowerment activities.

Life Foundation believes that every individual deserves equal rights, dignity, opportunities, accessibility, and active participation in society irrespective of physical, social, or economic barriers.

Environmental Protection & Climate Awareness Initiative

Environment & Climate Action Project

Life Foundation actively promotes environmental sustainability and ecological responsibility through awareness campaigns, community participation, tree plantation drives, cleanliness initiatives, and climate action programs.

The project encourages environmentally responsible behavior and sustainable community practices aimed at protecting natural resources and creating a healthier future for coming generations.

HUMANITARIAN PROJECT

Emergency Relief & Community Support Initiative

Relief & Humanitarian Support Initiative

Life Foundation extends humanitarian assistance to vulnerable individuals and families during emergencies, natural disasters, and crisis situations. The organization works toward providing immediate relief support while assisting affected communities in recovery, rehabilitation, and rebuilding efforts.

This initiative is driven by compassion, solidarity, and the commitment to stand beside communities during difficult times.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Youth Leadership & Community Participation Program

Youth & Community Engagement Initiative

This initiative focuses on engaging youth in positive social action, leadership development, volunteerism, awareness campaigns, and community-building activities.

Life Foundation believes that empowered and socially responsible youth can become catalysts for sustainable social transformation and inclusive community development.

CHILD PROTECTION INITIATIVE

Child Care Institution (CCI)

Children Home for Boys

The Child Care Institution (CCI) operated by Life Foundation at Hojai, Assam is a residential care home established for children in need of care and protection.

The institution was inaugurated on 16th December 2022 by Honorable MLA Sri Ramkrishna Ghosh in the presence of the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Child Welfare Committee (CWC), and other stakeholders.

The institution is recognized under Mission Vatsalya of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, and registered under Section 41(1) of the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 vide Registration No. 03/2022 effective from 19th November 2022 for a period of five years.

The Children Home is a 25-bedded residential care institution for boys in need of care and protection, providing a safe, caring, child-friendly, and nurturing environment focused on rehabilitation, wellbeing, education, protection, and holistic development.

CHILD WELFARE & ADOPTION SERVICES

Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA)

Child Care, Rehabilitation & Adoption Services

The Specialized Adoption Agency (SAA) operated by Life Foundation is a dedicated child care and adoption facility established for the care, protection, rehabilitation, and legal adoption of orphaned, abandoned, and surrendered children in accordance with the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and the guidelines of the Central Adoption Resource Authority (CARA), Government of India.

The agency was inaugurated on 7th September 2024 by Ramkrishna Ghosh and registered under Section 41 of the Juvenile Justice Act, 2015 vide Registration No. JJR/02/2024-25 dated 10th July 2024 for a period of five years.

The institution works toward ensuring that every child grows up in a safe, secure, loving, and nurturing family environment through ethical, transparent, and legally compliant adoption and rehabilitation services.

INCLUSION & LIVELIHOOD INITIATIVE

LGBTQ+ Community Empowerment & Livelihood Initiative

Children Home for Boys

Life Foundation is implementing an LGBTQ+ Community Empowerment & Livelihood Initiative in partnership with Bridge, Kolkata, ATMA Manipur, and queer-trans activists from Assam with the objective of strengthening communication, solidarity, inclusion, livelihood opportunities, and grassroots community empowerment among transgender and LGBTQ+ communities across Assam and Manipur.

The initiative focuses on understanding the lived realities, livelihood challenges, healthcare access, mental health concerns, social exclusion, economic vulnerabilities, and social protection needs faced by gender and sexuality minority communities.

As part of the initiative, extensive community outreach and grassroots engagement activities were conducted across different districts of Assam and Manipur. More than 20 Listening Circles were organized involving over 250 members of LGBTQ+ communities where participants openly shared their experiences, aspirations, livelihood needs, challenges, and personal stories in safe and respectful community spaces.

The initiative also works towards promoting social inclusion, mental wellbeing, economic empowerment, leadership development, and equal opportunities for transgender and LGBTQ+ individuals through sustainable and community-centered approaches.
